I had an awesome visit to southern Utah a few years' back and want to go somewhere this winter (with toddler) where we can walk and enjoy the beautiful west.
Any recommendations? I haven't been anywere but Utah and western Colorado. TIA. |
| Wherever you decide, if you are going in the winter, check to see if they are open. About six years ago, we took a trip out west (flew into NM and drove) and about half of the places we planned to stop were closed or were closing within a week of our trip. It took me by surprise as I figured the parks to be open all year round. |
| We are going to Sonoma in Az this spring, but not sure it will be warm enough for you in winter. |

I've been to 2 places that are amazing for hiking and amazing scenery:
1. Jackson Hole, WY 2. Sedona, AZ |
| I'd go to Pheonix, Flagstaff, Jerome and Sedona, AZ, with maybe a side trip to Vegas. |
| Southern Arizona is great this time of year. There is a wonderful "Desert Museum" in Tucson. |
