Is it too late to get into a 2's program for September 2011?

Hi, we are moving to suburban MD this summer from NYC. We probably won't finalize housing until May or June. In NYC, applications were due a long time ago. It sounds like the DC preschools also fill up pretty quickly.

Are we going to be too late to get into a 2's program for the fall?

Can you recommend some good 2's nursery schools in Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, N Bethesda, and Rockville?

Maybe we should apply to a few schools. We are pretty flexible with where we will live since we will be renting for a few years.

The further out you are from DC, the easier it is. So in general, the Rockville area would be easier than Chevy Chase. The preschool I'm applying to, for example, doesn't even start taking applications until March 1. The other preschool I was considering starts taking applications on Feburary 1. These are both in the Rockville area, though.

I don't know much about preschools closer in, so hopefully others will respond, and then you can search for application dates.

totally varies, but I would get on it. Temple Sinai in CCDC has already started accepting people, but Chevy Chase Baptist Church preschool's apps are due in Feb (Feb 1, I think). Agree that further out will be easier.

I believe that Chevy Chase Presbyterian also has a February due date, so you still have time.

I believe that Saint Luke Lutheran Church in Silver Spring is just about to begin its enrollment process.
