Health and Medicine
| I am expecting my first child - having a little girl - and am currently trying to line up a pediatrician for when she is born. All three of these practices take my insurance (I do not want to go to a practice like Spring Valley Pediatrics that does not take insurance) and so I am hoping to hear people's thoughts about the quality of the doctors at these practices and which practice people would recommend. All insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! |
| We have been very happy at Chevy Chase Peds and see Dr. Zegal. She is a young mom herself. Love her. |
| CMG for over six years. Honestly, I'd pick one that is close to where you live. No fun driving all over with a sick child. |
| I have been going to CMG for the past 20 months. It is a large practice, but seems to run well with good doctors. |

I'm amazed that CC Pediatrics takes your insurance! Thought they didn't take any.
We've been extremely happy there for 8 years. Love all 4 doctors, but for slightly different reasons. It's like a box of chocolates I suppose; each has their (strong) merits but extremely differently bedside manner. This said, I do agree with PP who said think hard about proximity. They're not really near each other .... |

I love Foxhall pediatrics. I also know Dr. Zegal at CC personally - and she is amazing. Between the two practices, I don't think you can go wrong. We used to go to SV Ped btw, but just couldn't afford it after our third was born. Whichever way you go, I highly recommend a "boutique" practice where the staff, including nurses and docs, will really get to know your family. I just feel like they have my back.
Congrats and good luck! |
