| When I think of the number of times I sit over that bathtub just to wash my bum. I wish that these things were more common when homes are built. |

Amen!

My mom still has hers from the 70's, since the bathroom hasn't been remodeled. She loves it. We just kept the baby wipes around our house and still use those

| We live overseas and have one in every bathroom! I've never used one though . LOL |
| yes wish we had one too |
| I am not American and what I miss most about my country is my bidet! |
| Baby wipes. |
|
We bought a diaper sprayer to attach to our toilet for rinsing off diapers, but it's sold as a bidet as well and we use it for that too! I'm not handy and I installed it in about 10 minutes.

| ok, I have never just washed my bum. what are the conditions necessary for isolated bum-washing? seriously. |
That is nifty. I will give it some thought. I could see my kids spaying the whole bathroom though. |
1. Menses. 2. Sex 3. Poop. 4. Short on time, need to freshen up. 5. Shower at night, need an a.m. rinse. 6. Shower in a.m. need a p.m rinse. |
wow. you are making me feel filthy for only showering once a day. |
you forgot to add hemorrhoids... wicked, wicked hemorrhoids (No bidet in my house, but I still have the pink plastic one that they gave me in the hospital when I first gave birth 9 years ago.... sigh-some day I will get the surgery to get rid of them permanently....) |
How does a bidet handle solid bits? |
Well, you should not have solid bits if you first wipe on the toilet, THEN transfer to the bidet. A bidet is not a toilet, it is a sink for your bum. If per chance a small solid "bit" ends up in the bidet, it will be washed down. |
