Pediatrician in NW DC?

Anonymous
We just moved to DC from Silver Spring, and have to find a new pediatrician for our two kids, who currently see someone in Olney. It's just too far to travel there now. We used to see a doc at Georgetown, but left after our DD was mismanaged. I've read mixed reviews on Children's Pediatrics and Associates online, but am open to all opinions.

Does anyone have any recommendations? We'd prefer a female pediatrician for our daughter's sake.

Thank you!

We see Dr. Schoonover for our infant daughter at Children's Pediatricians and Associates. We really like her--she is great with our daughter. She has a very pleasant demeanor and has been practicing for a good 30 years. The nurses there are great too. Yes, the place is extremely busy, but we've always been able to get an appt.

We do not recommend the Pullman and Azria practice on M St. We were there initially, and Dr. Pullman did not read our daughter's chart.

We left CP&A (very long waits, office seemed dirty, parking cost a fortune, hard to reach docs or get a same day appt) and switched to Chevy Chase Peds and we LOVE it. It's on Connecticut right by Politics & Prose

My kids see one of the male docs but we also adore Dr. Zegal who is a young mom. We've only seen Dr. Ahlstrom once (she seems very Nwe England direct and matter of fact) but several colleagues have used her for years and are very pleased. Can't recommend it highly enough, from the free parking, weekend hours for sick kids, in office lab, call in hours for each doc most mornings, the care and level of service are excellent. They used to just take 1 insurance plan but recently added several others.

Another vote here for Chevy Chase Peds. They are all great!
