The club we belong to, the Chevy Chase Club, does not have different categories of membership, so there is no social membership. There is also no food minimum. The monthly dues are $600.

we are also considering a cc and wonder if it's worth it- what are the annual incomes to do this? we're over $320K - we can do parochial good school or cc and good public school (lucky here) - i thought cc might get us more social? it;s easy not to do so when kids are in PS..

A friend of mine belongs to a club that I think is in your area. It may be called International Club but I'm not positive. I remember she and her husband telling me what they paid and while I cant remember what the breakdown was between food minimums and other charges, I think it worked out to be around $500 per month.

We belong to Riverbend in Great Falls -- probably too far for you. I think our monthly dues and food min come to about 600 (I'm not 100% sure b/c I think the fees just went up). We do have separate social and full memberships, and I think those fees just went up too b/c we are doing a lot of renovations. Depending on where you are in Oakton, perhaps CC of Fairfax or Westwood in Vienna are options. Good luck.
