| My DS2 is 2.5 months and is a terrible napper. All naps are less than 45 minutes unless we're driving...he'll fall asleep in my arms (sometimes after nursing, sometimes not) and always wakes up 5-10 minutes after I put him down. Luckily his nighttime sleep is pretty good. I can't remember when my first son's naps got a little longer and more regular. Thanks. |

My 8 month old is still not on schedule, sigh.
When DS #1 was younger, he slept for 3-4 hrs every morning, religiously. We were so lucky! |
| 6 months- 3 naps a day. |
| at 3 months - 4 naps / day. at almost 5 months. he does 3 - 4 naps / day. |
| I started sleep training my son once he hit 5 months and it was awesome! Today he's two and is still a terrific napper and night sleeper! This website is awesome! www.mybabysleepsatnight.com |

First child: 4 months
Second child: 12 months Did the same thing with both of them. It's not the book, the expert or the vastly superior parenting that's responsible for creating a "good sleeper" -- they're just born that way. Or not. |

Her naps improved once I started leaving her alone if she woke up from a short nap not crying. If she just babbles or even fusses, I let her hang out for awhile. Frequently she goes back to sleep.
We saw a HUUUUGE improvement in nap consistency between 2.5 months and 3.5 months (which is where we are now). Hang in there. |
|
basic consistency in when he got tired and needing 2 naps. 6 months
consistency in how long he slept 1 year. Bfore that it was anywhere from 30 mint to 2 hours, usually on the 45 min end of things. |

That's very normal for 2.5 months. He's still young.
We didn't have a consistent schedule until between 6-8 months. Sometimes it would begin to look consistent, but then it would change if they hit a growth spurt. Oldest slept consistently for long periods of time. Youngest had consistent morning naps, but not afternoon naps until close to one year. He'd go down at the same time everyday, but often would wake up after 45 minutes, I'd get him up and play for a while, then go back to sleep for a second afternoon nap. |
| I think around 5-6 months |

6 months for me. 3 naps. Now at 10 months he is at 2 naps
He usually slept anywhere from 45 min to an 1.5 hours at 3 naps a day, and the two naps are around 1-2 hours. |
| Almost 7 month old is just now getting there. 2x/day and somewhat reliable bedtime b/t 7 and 7:30. It helps that I finally gave in and just put her in the crib on her tummy - she sleeps MUCH better |
