Date night and a stayover at the W hotel on 15th and F. Recommend a restaurant near by

| Ceiba for nuevo Latino is very good. Right around the corner at 14th and G. |

| J&G Steakhouse (in the W) is supposed to be a great restaurant (esp. if you skip the steaks-- not sure why they called it that). |

| Tosca at 12th and F is divine italian food. expensive though. Ceiba is interesting but has gone downhill. |

| Ooh, we stayed in the W a few summers ago for a special night and it was great. We had a drink in their roof top bar and then went to Proof. It was warm then, though, so maybe you don't want to walk that far (if you're walking). Other good restaurant options close by are Galileo, Potenza (somewhat more casual), Georgia Brown's if you like Southern food. Have fun! |

| Zentan, Susur Lee's restaurant in the Donovan Hotel around 14th and...M? He was on Top Chef Masters. Great Asian fusion. I think Galileo has been closed for several years. |

OP here. Thanks everybody! Such great suggestions! I think we are going with Central- although the poster who mentioned Suser Lee made me stop and consider that restaurant- saw him on Top Chef and I think he's super sexy LOL!!! However, we just had chinese last night and I am not in the mood to have Asian food again quite so soon. But I'm filing that restaurant away for a future visit- preferably without my husband!!!

| Gallileo 3 opened in the old Butterfield 9 space - right by the hotel. In addition to the recs given, also good are Zaytinya, PS7, Rasika, Source. |
