The cost of butter

| It's now 3.50/pound! Does anyone know where it is on sale this week, or where it generally costs less (that price was at Safeway)? Alternately, decent substitutes for baking? |

Buy a couple pounds every time it goes on sale -- that's what I do. Works well because it seems to go on sale for $2/lb just about once a month.
As for baking substitutes...is that a real question? You know about the existence of Crisco, right?
