New Year's Resolution to eat better. But I love sweets- cookies, chocolate etc. Anyone have any good recs in the cookie aisle of whole food that is not too crap for me? THanks.

Not in the cookie isle, but I LOVE their gingerbread. Plus, you can cut a generous piece and it's not as dense as a cookie...so less guilt!

I used to get the meringue cookies there. About 20 calories, fat free. I haven't seen them in a while, though. Mini chocolate chip was my favorite.

I'm probably deluding myself that it is healthy (only is by comparison), but I really love their molasses cookies. I think they are vegan, so at least there isn't butter in them.

Not in the cookie aisle, but I love dark chocolate covered almonds sold at TJs--I'm sure something similar is available at WFs.

Bethesda Co-op has chocolate covered cherries and chocolate covered ginger, both amazing. Insanely, stupidly expensive, though.

Not a very sophisticated suggestion but I like Nature's Path pop tarts at Whole Foods.

This isn't in the cookie aisle, but if you're really serious about eating better, I would recommend frozen mango chunks from trader joes or whole foods. I'm trying to lose weight and this is the only treat I will allow myself during the week after dinner, and now I love it. It satisfies my verrrry big sweet tooth, and just feels very refreshing and light. I'm more relaxed about treats during the weekend.

Ohhh, skip the cookie aisle and get one of those Lake Champlain individual chocolate chunk bars...the granola is the best plus it's full of antioxidants!

I suggest that you buy the cookies you like best but limit yourself to ONE per night. Now if only I could do this ...

I love frozen chocolate ice pops like fudgesicles which are pretty low in calories and fat.

Not a cookie, but I love mango sorbet.

Best treat you can have that is beneficial to your health is dark chocolate. It has less sugar too, which translates to less fat being stored in your body.

Chocolate chip cranberry ciabatta roll. I thought I was buying a raisin pecan roll and accidentally bought that instead. It was heavenly! A sweet treat but not buttery or decadent.
