Do you have a surefire way to fix porkchops that will make them moist and yummy? I always dry 'em out. Sides are asparagus and wild rice.
Thanks! |
Soak them in buttermilk for a couple of hours.
marinate in something and don't overcook, use a meat thermometer if you have to and take off before desired temp as they will keep cooking
Brining or marinating works well. I also simmer them in a liquid sometimes -- stock, or even apple juice. Or grilling works well too.
Get the pork loin chops (bone in) at whole foods. marinate with salt and pepper and cook in olive oil. the secret? Cook 5 minutes on each side in a dutch oven...omg, that cooks so well. Get the LODGE brand of ceramic cast iron, they are way cheaper and work awesome. try target or amazon. Good luck!
Get bone-in, salt, olive oil and grill - 5 minutes first side and about 3 after the flip, but that depends on thickness. I know it sucks to grill in this weather but mine come out perfect every time and I'm about as useless in the kitchen as imaginable.
Not to hijack, but do you serve a sauce or gravy over them, those of you who keep it simple?
