Vace does have good stuff. They have a store in Bethesda, too, if that's closer.

If it's for a special occasion and you really want to go high end, talk to Laura Bonino, who co-owns Griffin Market in Georgetown with her husband. She used to make pasta for Roberto Donna, and makes great stuff on request. But it will cost you.

Have you tried Whole Foods? Not sure where you are, but the one in Friendship Heights has great fresh pasta.
