| Just curious how long pillows usually last. (I think we might keep ours too long...) |
| I don't know if it's good or not, but we get new pillows every 3 or 4 years. |
| every 2 yrs or so |
| OMG! I'm 30 years old and my pillow is the 2nd I remember getting. The first one I left in a hotel and it took me months to find a new one and I've been holding on to it for the past 15 years!!!! |
PP- I know you're serious, but that made me smile.
I am due to buy some new pillows now! I've had these pillows for 1.5 years. |
| 23:36 here. I think my pillow is my lovey... if you take it I can't sleep LOL |
| I don't have any planned replacement policy... I usually buy a new pillow when I can't find one in the house that's comfortable. I would guess durability (in terms of getting gross) also depends on materials - some are more hospitable to mites, mildew, etc. My current one is 3 years old and in great shape; I also own some much older ones that still look good (but aren't what I currently like sleeping with). |

Hmm...probably around 5 years - maybe more - depends on how well the pillow has held up. Also if it is machine washable (I fear things growing in my husband's old moldy looking feather pillows).

I'm like you! I was my pillows when I was the comforters (pillowcases get done regularly with the sheets) and when it's no longer comfortable, I get a new one. Why are folks replacing them so frequently? |
Another one here who keeps pillows for a long time. |

That's a myth. Mites aren't a reason to get rid of pillows the washer/dryer can get rid of 90% of them - more if you use a higher temperature. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_dust_mite |
We're on 9 years and still running I can't imagine giving up my pillow!!! I love it!
