foundation or primer or something else

I need help finding a facial product that looks natural. I am 36 and have found that foundation tends to pool in my fine lines and looks like crap. I have very fair, dry skin. I have found that a facial cream with SPF and primer look ok-much better w/out the foundation. What other options are there? I have never used mineral foundation but always thought it was supposed to settle in fine lines? Are there any foundations you have come across that work well on dry "older" skin? thx

i use NARS primer with SPF. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way If i wear foundation, i use CoverFx which is very sheer and natural looking. You can find both these things at sephora and they are great for dry skin.

I am a makeup junkie and have used basically every foundation under the sun. I have found the absolute best (no contest) to be Almay Truly Lasting Color - this one: http://www.almay.com/Pg/Main/CatProdDet.aspx?catid=31&catnm=Face&subid=233&subnm=Foundation&prd=29370&osubnm=Foundation

It looks very natural yet makes a huge difference. The only product I have used that has come close (actually it was really good too) was a Giorgio Armani foundation that I purchased in London at Harrod's in 2001 when I ran out of makeup on vacation. It was amazing and of course when I got back to the US I found out that they didn't sell it here. Maybe that has changed, it might be worth looking into it. I would highly suggest the Almay though...it is amazing.
