Classes, Workshops, Camps, and Playgroups
| My 6 and 8 year old need to become better at swimming, and more confident. I would like to sign them up for intentive swimming, say all morning, for a week in early summer. Is our only option the YMCA or are there other options? Upper NW DC/Bethesda or close by. Does anyone know if Wilson Pool in DC has any good programs like this? |
Lowell school. The facility is OK but there are plenty of weekend options and taking classes allow you to participate in open swim. |
| www.aquaticstars.com is another option |
| The Montgomery County Rec Dept offers intensive lessons in the summer. I found that the daily lessons for two weeks straight made a huge difference for my kids. Check the website in late spring. Registration is in early June. http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/rectmpl.asp?url=/content/rec/aqua.asp You don't have to be a county resident. |
