I have a toddler, am pregnant with #2, and am sick of looking like a mess. So I have two questions:
1. Where can I find boots, either around here or online? I'm looking for nice (but not super expensive) knee-high boots, no heels. I guess equestrian style would probably best describe what I am interested in. 2. Any ideas for comfortable, casual shoes that I can wear for daily outings that aren't tennis shoes but can still withstand some mileage? TIA. |
| 1. zappos. order whatever you think might work and ship back the rest. best way to shoe shop. |

Boots: try Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom's. You might luck out with a great post-holiday sale. If you don't relish the thought of going to a mall, zappos.com and endless.com are two good places to start. If your feet are on the smaller side, you might be able to buy children's sizes, too. I was reading reviews of my daughter's boots (Lands' End), and there was at least one mom who had bought them for herself. A child's 5 is approximately a 7 in women's.
Casual shoes: Some brands to try include Merrell, Keen, Ecco, Cole Haan Air, Born. Peruse the shoe selections on sites like Athleta, Title 9, Garnet Hill. They tend to have casual shoes that are good for walking. See if any of them fit your style ambitions. |
| I have boots by Born and La Canadienne that are really nice for walking and look great. The La Canadienne's are waterproof, too. |
