How difficult and tedious it is to comment on articles in the DCUM Weblog. You have to click on "Add Comment" and then enter your name, email address, subject, and then put your comment into the "message" window and enter everything. Okay, maybe it's not as difficult and tedious as souffle making or germinating grass seed, but nevertheless, I think you might get more comments if people could just leave them the same way as all other comments are left. |
Just enter a fake name and email address. The weblog uses a completely different software package, which is why it's different. Moreover, the home page attracts a much greater number of spambots than the forum pages. If there weren't minimal hurdles for them to cross, we'd be overwhelmed with spam messages.

the problem is that the message body line is only a tiny window. It's way hard to read what you're writing. I usually put it in a word doc and then post, but I bet others don't want to bother. Agree you'd get more comments if you fixed that up. |
That seems browser specific. The window is large for me. But, there should be a place in the bottom right corner of the text box that you can click on to expand the box. But, your point is well taken and I'll look into fixing that up. |
Okay, I think I fixed this. Give it a try. |
I'll try again when you post a new entry. Cheers. |
