Irregular periods after failed fertility treatments?

I went through my first IVF cycle at the end of November. My ER was performed on day 16 of my cycle. I got my period before my beta on day 28 of my cycle. Now, I'm waiting for my second period post-IVF and it is late. Can IVF throw your cycle off track for months afterward? TIA
