grassfed beef and free-range chicken

Where can I go to get better quality meats, without having to drive out to a farm? We're in the MD suburbs. We have great local farmers market options for produce but we aren't vegetarian and I am tired of the pumped up meats from the grocers. If I didn't work FT+ I'd consider a CSA and make the farm trips, but that will have to be deferred a few years until we can afford for me to go PT.

A lot of farmer's markets have that stuff. Whole foods does too. I know Kensington and Takoma Park has farmer's markets every Sat.

Balduccis at Old Georgetown Road and Democracy Blvd. has a lot of free-range poultry options and I suspect good beef options too. (I don't eat beef so have not paid as much attention).

I am a few weeks postpartum and I've been using Pea Pod to deliver groceries. They have a good selection of natural and organic meats believe it or not.
