Lots of the things we eat during the rest of the year like grapes, bananas, apples, tomatoes, lettuce.

We try to eat seasonally and locally as much as possible so apples, pears and citrus mostly. Bananas are never seasonal in the US, so we eat those year round. Sweet potatoes, white potatoes, winter squashes, greens for veggies mostly, occasionally green beans, asparagus and avocado.

the only thing we don't get are berries (which is sad since it is one of the only fruits my kids will eat - they don't like frozen ones.)

Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are all fall veggies. They're at their best just before a frost, which I realize puts "local" a little further away.

Citrus and apples.

We avoid berries and citrus, and enjoy apples, squash (just made a delicious butternut squash risotto), sweet potatoes, green beans, and the occasional banana.

Greens and root vegetables (from our CSA), supplemented with onions and garlic and whatever fruits I put up in the freezer last summer. It's a lean time in our house!
