Natural birth at GW Hospital?

Anonymous
I would like to know about people's experiences with natural birth at GW Hospital. Were they supportive? Did they let you walk around, sit up, etc.? Did you have a doula, or were the nurses supportive enough without need for a doula?

I am taking the official hospital tour and Momease labor and delivery class in a few weeks but would like to get a sense for people's experiences. Thanks!

I had 2 natural births at GW - I did not have a doula and completely loved my delivery nurses who were incredibly supportive - feel free to email me at surelyyounest at gmail dot com to ask any questions you want.

I am very curious about this too. To the 17:!3 poster - would you mind sharing who your OB was? Thanks.

Dr. Larsen was my ob (very supportive of my birth plan) altho he was not there for my deliveries (bad luck eh?). My attendings were Drs. Macri and Gaba. I really went in knowing what I wanted, though, and I had *really fast* labors both times. Obviously anecdotal but I had very good experiences with the delivery nurses being incredibly supportive while I was in labor.
