Bathtub toys how to clean and clean tub

Anonymous
Ok, I may be stupid, but I am worried about how best to clean the tub (both kids bathe together) and the toys I allow them to have in there. Any tricks or advice? Thanks!

I put mine in a bleach water solution, it seems to be the only thing to really get the mold out of the inside of the toys.

I just tried Clorox Green Works (which is a green cleaner) on the moldy shower curtain liner and it worked really easily - better than the toxic stuff we used to use, and the other eco-friendly stuff we tried. I was thinking it would probably work well on bath toys too.

Ditto the PP -- we've had a recent rash of in-tub poops (ugh! -- that's a whole 'nother post!), and after we clean the tub, we fill it with water, pour in some bleach and throw the toys in.

I have to say, though, that I've never seen mold on bath toys. We take them out after every bath and let them dry.... We don't use those catch-all holders that may trap water.

The squirty toys often have mold in them.

We're scaling back on squirty toys for just this reason. Mama can only do so much . . .

For now, they get a weak bleach and water solution sucked inside, and squeezed out after about 10 mins. followed by a clear water rinse (suck in, squirt out many times).

The tub gets scrubbed with baking soda. We haven't had tub poop yet, so no need to go nuts with the chemicals.
