Yup, leave up to Florida yahoos to arrest someone for exercising their First Amendment rights. Who needs that free speech, anyways?

Sorry, but this goes beyond first amendment rights. Children have rights not to be molested and those rights are more important than some a$$hole's freedom of speech.

I have 3 guesses:

1 - you don't have children.

2 - you've never been molested.

3 - you're a pedophile.

15:34 here. It says right in the article that the judge who issued the warrant was frustrated that the book was protected speech. And, he still issued the warrant?!?!

It is apparently obscene because it depicts minors in a harmful relationship. Are they going to rush out and arrest every author (like Sapphire, the author of Push/Precious) or movie producer that depicted child abuse? This sounds like an interpretation that won't stand.

Oh please, it's different when you tell a story... This sick bastard was teaching people how to groom and molest children w/o being caught!

Your assumptions are all wrong and you should go fuck yourself.

Like I said in the last thread about this book, I understand the price the victims have to pay. I was attacked by a violent pedophile when I was a child and still live with PTSD from the incident.

"How to" is still protected speech.

I don't believe you.

If you were a true victim you'd be the last one to defend a pedophile's right to teach other's how to commit this horrendous crime.

"Everyone should have their right to free speech" and "I was attacked by a pedophile" are two different statements with two different meanings.

I think everyone should have the right to a fair trial, too. I must also be a baby murderer! Grab your pitchforks!

Not everyone thinks it's OK to take away the Constitutional rights of others just because we don't like the subject matter.

I'm not here to convince you. You not believing me doesn't make it any less real.

Please see my other response. The sentiment is the same towards you as it is to the other person who called me a pedophile.
