maternity bras

Anonymous
Still have the bras from the first pregnancy but as I started out about 10lbs heavier for this second pregnancy, the bras are already kind of tight and I'm only about 15 weeks in. I'm 5'5", about 140lbs and currently wearing a 40C bra - the girls aren't that big but I guess I have a wide back (sounds better than extra weight!) Any suggestions on a good place to try on/find some good bras? Thanks

I hated the bras from places like Motherhood, they just didn't have enough support. I went and bought some good quality bras at Macy's and they worked much better. I wear a 40DD not pregnant. I have a hard time dropping $65-$80 on a bra, so I find the brand and sizes that work for me and find them on eBay.

Are we talking about nursing bras? I would love a recommendation for where to get supportive nursing bras. Does Macy's have them? The ones at Motherhood do not work for me at all.

This is the 11:33. I also could not find too many comfortable and supportive nursing bras. I had a Bravado bra that I got from the lactation consultant and then moved to the unlined Body by Victoria bras when my size stabilized. They were stretchy enough to nurse comfortably and supportive enough to wear all the time.

I like Yes! maternity nursing bras. They are sports bras, but work for everyday as well.

I love Elle MacPherson's nursing bras, also can be used before you get to that stage. They are little expensive avg $50-60 but well worth it.

OP, if your 'girls' aren't that big, maybe your bra size isn't quite right. Maybe 42B is better and then you can find better fits.

Also, you can buy these bra extenders to adjust for the width at the back (obviously the cups stay the same) but that could do the trick. They're pretty cheap so worth a try!
