Dark teal, dark green and dark blue. I think purple is still in this winter as well.

I saw that OPI has a line of Burlesque colors (movie marketing). They are bright and sparkly. I don't know if those colors are "in" this season or not but I feel like OPI sort of creates color trends by whatever new colors they put out.

assuming you're in DC, who is even going to see your toes? Seriously, while I'm a fanatic about keeping my pedicures up in the spring/summer, I totally ignore my toes in the winter. Is that gross? I guess if you're going to a bunch of parties and wearing open toe sandals, that's a reason to keep them all polished in a trendy color.

Anywho, I don't know what's hot for the winter, but my go-to shade for toes is usually Malaga Wine by OPI, or wicked by Essi.

PP, really? So if nobody sees your toe nails, you let them grow out in winter and the skin hang out from your heels? I do pedicures not for people to see them, but just as part of my regular hygiene.

Not the PP, but I don't think pedicures are necessary for regular hygiene. I mean, my husband has never done one and I don't consider his feet unhygienic. I don't do them in winter, either. I keep the nails trimmed, and I have never had "skin hanging out from my heels" (WTH?). If you are talking about getting your heels scraped, I would never do that anyway. It makes them worse in the long run.

Exactly. I'm the PP who doesn't get pedicures in the winter, but it's not like I'm walking around with grotesque hobbit feet as you are insinuating. I'm capable of cutting my own toenails and keeping my feet clean.

OP here. I'm getting a pedi for a surprise romantic getaway with my BF, just not sure what color to get... Thank to those who replied!

It's me, the PP who doesn't get winter pedicures again. That, to me, is the perfect reason to get a pedi in the winter. I'm a grizzled old married lady of 13 years, hence my replies. Enjoy your getaway!

Another vote for Malaga Wine. It's a timeless blood red and my DH loves it on my toes.

I'm another one who doesn't really bother with pedicures in the winter.... My regime consists of trimming my nails down, slathering on Aquaphor before bed and sleeping in cotton socks. I'm jealous you have such a good excuse for one! Have fun!
