| My DH birthday cake and do not want to screw it up..thanks |
|
Quick google search came up with this:
http://www.food.com/recipe/nutella-buttercream-frosting-313044 But I can't vouch for it. |
| I think it would be too thick and pull the top of of the cake. I've never done it, though. |
| I'd think it'd be more suited to filling myself, but I don't see why not. |
|
Yes you can. But before spreading it, heat it in a pot over another pot with water to make it softer and easier to spread.
GL! |
| Thank you for your responses! |
| What a great idea! (Nutella is not as precious as chocolate and doesn't need a double boiler. I've heated it in a pot and also gotten it nice and runny just leaving a jar on the radiator, too.) |
Ha! This sounds like something I would do in one of my chocolate frenzies. |

Here's a recipe (not sure how it differs from the one posted above).

| i do it but use a hand mixer to whip it up -- makes it much easier to spread. |
| Don't put the cake in the fridge before you serve it. When Nutella hardens, it gets EXTREMELY thick -- like a candy bar. |
| Microwave the nutella |

Good idea!!!
