High school for international student

I have a 15-year-old cousin who lives in Germany. I would like to invite her over for a semester to stay with me, attend school and improve her English. Has anyone done anything similar? Did you have to pay tuition? How much? What kind of paperwork is required? I did a bit of research on the MCPS website and plan to call them tomorrow but want to know more from the host's perspective.
