Clomid + low dose stims protocol?

Has anyone used an IVF protocol that calls for Clomid for days 2-6, and 150 Follistim/75 Menopur added on day 4 or 5 until ET? Supposedly, this protocol is tried with poor responders. The reason for the Clomid is that it allows the body to use some of its' own FSH. But going anywhere near Clomid makes me nervous! Any experiences or insight welcomed!

i am on the same. have done it twice. got preg both times, but both miscarriages. Hoping for better luck this time.

OP and PP, a friend of mine was just asking around about this exact protocol! What clinic(s)/doctors recommend or use it?
PP, why did your doctor recommend it? (AMA, DOR, poor response, other?)
OP-- I also wonder about the use of Clomid, esp. as a woman gets older. I'd like to know more about it.
