Bourbon

Anonymous
I know nothing about bourbon but I need a small amount for a recipe. Does it really matter what kind I get or can I just get the cheapest? TIA.

It doesn't matter. I use Jim Beam. You'd never catch me drinking it, but it's goes well with any recipe that calls for bourbon (or even rum, if I'm out).

Don't waste good bourbon by putting it in a recipe.

Wild Turkey or Maker's Mark.
A good way to drink it if you don't like it straight is to serve it over ice with a twist of lime and some ginger ale, Sprite or cola.

Or Kool-Aid! Or put it in a milkshake!

Really, that is just wrong. If you don't like bourbon, ask around. Someone will be more than glad to take it off your hands.
