Looking for some encouragement and sympathy....I am so excited to meet our new baby and pray for good health but this last month of pregnancy is killing me and I am secretly hoping for an early arrival.
How do you cope ? It is really hard to sleep now, sitting up hurts my back after about 1 hr...i know I am complaining. |
Sympathy I can give you .. I am in the same boat. Pelvic pain, tired, without good sleep ... almost makes you want to get an inducted labor! Just try to enjoy the free time you have on your hands, even when you can't do what you want because of how you feel. Once the baby is there you will have no time at all. Speaking from experience.
It seems weird that women have to be so uncomfortabel right before the most drastic event in their life but appearantly it prepares us for the coming weeks/months. You are not the only one and complaining is definitely allowed! Good luck, I have another 2 weeks to go and counting the days! |
Oh mercy! I feel your pain. I have 3 weeks to go and am wondering how I am going to make it. I really think pregnancy should last 8 months. This 9th month business is just sheer torture. Anyways, I've been coping with awful back pain, fatigue, swollen legs, irritability, lack of sleep, heartburn, etc with a few things- yoga, long baths, the occasional glass of wine (please don't chastise me! It does help), taking down time for myself, and most importantly, thinking about the baby and what he is going to be like. That excitement gets me through a lot of the time. But I definitely understand how you feel. Know that you're not alone and pretty soon, you'll be forgetting about how awful this last month was. That's what people tell me anyway! |
Do you have access to a pool? Floating helped me and my poor body immensely! |
I'm due in 10 days and counting down every hour! I keep hoping for an early delivery. It's more the excitement of meeting this person inside me than anything else. |
I complained alot ![]() Seriously, there are ways to make yourself *more* comfortable, but it's a pretty miserable stretch no doubt. I think it's nature's way of getting you psyched for birth. I actually preferred labor to beign pregnant one more day. hang in there!!! |
I too have 3 weeks to go, but unlike with my first pregnancy when I hoped to go early, I am prayig this baby waits until at least the due date. It's amazig how much one's perspective can change. Sure I am ucomfortable, my body especially my back aches ad I have not had a good night's sleep in weeks. However, I also remember it does not necessarily get easier once the baby arrives since you are waking up once or twice a night to nurse and all the aches and pains simply shift to other parts of your body. At least now I can still take a 3 hour nap in the afteroon. So hang in there, enjoy these last few baby free weeks with your husband and go out for a good meal ...as oce the baby is here it may be awhile! |
