Infertility Support and Discussion

I have a d&c scheduled this Friday. I'm still very sad about everything that has happened, but thinking about trying again has given me some sense of hope. This pregnancy, we never actually "tried" - I mean, obviously we did enough to get pregnant, but I did not chart temps or track ovulation dates. After my first cycle post m/c I'm interested in taking temps, but have a few questions...
I am not a very good sleeper so getting my waking temperature after 2 hrs of continuous sleep seems like an impossible task. I generally toss & turn and wake up on and off until I actually need to get out of bed. How important is that 2 hours before you wake? Also, if anyone tracked after m/c, how long did you wait to start? Thanks in advance. |

I'm very sorry for your loss, OP. I happened to see this old thread that is related to your question.

I started temping after a miscarriage, too. I would wait a few weeks after your miscarriage before you start temping, though -- those early temps will be all over the map and just confuse you. Maybe start temping when you get your next period?
It is important that you have decent sleep before temping. After some trial and error, I found it easiest to set my alarm at a time I knew I'd be in a deep sleep, temp, and then go back to sleep until I had to wake up for real. So for me that was at 6 am. Maybe for you it will be 4:30 or 5 if you toss and turn and are half-awake your last few hours in bed? Good luck! It took my body a while to get back on track but it did, and I'm now seven weeks pregnant again. My due date is 7 months later than my original due date. It felt like it took forever, but I realize in the grand scheme of things I'm pretty lucky. |

I temped after my last two miscarriages and I ovulated only a couple days later than my usual date.
I would set an alarm at around 3-4 am, even if you toss and turn it should be ok, at least in my case So sorry for your loss |
