| A difference of more than one or two standard deviations is one of the definitions of a learning disability. Definitely talk to the evaluator. |

is this a typo? you need to have the test taker clarify. that is a huge disparity (if correct) between scores thus full scale should be interpreted with caution. |

| If by Performance you mean the sub-test that is a pencil test, it is not a big deal, at all. |

It's not a definition, it's a flag for a possible learning disability. One standard deviation is pretty normal, more than two MIGHT mean there is an issue. Also, kids who are generally performing at the top of the scale have more variability between subtests than kids who are in the middle. I'm guessing the 65th was in processing speed, not performance. If so, what you've got is a very bright kid who works at an average pace. If the average score was only on Coding (the one where you write the symbols), it could be a lack of graphomotor skills, especially for a young kid. If it was from Coding plus Symbol Search, it MIGHT be a flag for an attention disorder, or it might just be normal variability. |

| I am a clinical psychologist. A disparity of this size is not unusual in terms of the WPPSI. It could be indicative of a learning problem or it might not. Both scores are well above median. I would not worry. Not yest anyway |
