Anyone get AF before beta? Sorry, if TMI

I always seem to get my periods on time, even when I am on progesterone. I have what appears to be a full blown, bright red blood period at 9dpt (exactly 28 days from last period). I took a HPT yesterday after I started brown spotting the night before and it was negative. This period is a bit different because I don't have any clotting but I think that is probably due to being on baby aspirin for so long. I did miss a dose of progesterone last night and my level was low when it was tested today. The docs want me to continue progesterone and estrogen even though my beta is five days away! This seems pointless to me. Anyone been through this?

Don't give up until you're sure, my BF had an initial 14 dpt beta of 29 and everyone told her the pregnancy was probably no good and she now has a healthy DS.
