HA!!! Sea sponge here (in case you remember me from some totally random thread that was co-opted by period talk!).
I love Jezebel, love hilarious stories about menstruation, and LOVE dodai stewart. This story could only have been better if Dodai would come onto DCUM right now so that we could take turns mocking and then lusting after the stuff in the latest Jcrew catalog together. If you don't know what I mean, here's one of her best: http://jezebel.com/5609443/operation-desert-porn-jcrews-wartime-glamour/gallery/ |
| I don't get her objection to having to wash her hands. Don't you wash almost the same anount before using a tampon and after? |
| I love her mockery of JCrew. But I really miss LOL Vogue Moddles. |

I used to like Jezebel but have given up on it because so many people (commenters and editors alike) are whiny hypocrites.
You won't believe how many commenters said it that we should no longer judge Mary Kay Letorneau for her criminal relationship with a 12 year old because they are still happily together after all these years when someone called them out by pointing out that they wouldn't he okay with it if it were a male teacher/female student, they defended themselves by saying that would be a different dynamic, plus Vili pursued Mary Kay so it's not the same. Gross!! Different dynamic? Yes? Still criminal, predatory, disgusting, harmful, etc.? HELL YES!!!! Please excuse Ny typos in my rant, I'm on my phone. |
Sea sponge here, so I obviously do have to wash my hands. but I have to admit that, back before going to the sea sponge, I did not wash BEFORE the insert. Only after. Is this not typical? Have I been flirting with vaginal disaster all those years? If so, should I also be making my husband hit the showers before we become intimate? Something tells me the scrub down is not all that necessary. But the scrub down AFTER? Yeah, I'm not going to advise anyone to skip that.

| That Jezebel post and the related DCUM thread brought back fond, fond memories of online discussion boards at my women's college... |
