Reading text levels above level M

Anonymous
I don't locate any examples of reading text level above M on the MCPS website. Can anybody fill me in on what happens when your child is past that level-what book series do they start reading?

You can go to this site, click on the book level, and it will give you some ideas for books in that range:

Fantastic link, thanks

Some of these books seem too easy for the level.

You can also use www.lexile.com to see what level a book is and to find other books around the same level. It's a numerical leveling system rather than alphabetical. I find the lexile judgments about complexity to be more accurate than the alphabetical leveling that MCPS uses. But, lexile doesn't have as many titles in the early grades (k, 1, etc.). But lexile goes from k- college. And the "lexile map" shows numerical examples of titles with rough grade equivalents, which I found very useful.
