Have you been to a Beaches resort?

We're going to the one in Turks and Caicos in a few weeks with a 7 year old and 2 year old. Any suggestions of what to make sure to bring?

Should we bring our own beach/pool toys, for example?

any other advice on what to do while we're there would be fantastic! Thank you.

I went there about 10 years ago and liked it a lot for what it was. The dining choices were pretty good and the kids loved the different pools/slides. I'd take a boat trip over to the island with all of the lizards all over it. My kids loved that. We also spent a few hrs on one of the smaller deserted islands and it was paradise.

We've been and you will love it. Bring lots of sunscreen and hats, the sun can be incredibly strong. Small pool toys would be fine but I would not waste luggage space on much. We really relied on swim vests for our kids so they could swim in the pools - some of which are rather large - and we did not have to be right next to them at all times. Take advantage of the kids camps and sign up for the boat trips out to snorkel the reefs.
