Does This Sound Like a Sinus Infection - Warning Gross

I was just blowing my nose and when I blew stuff came out of my left eye, like not tears, but more boogery type clear stuff. My eye isn't infected, not red or full of puss, it was just when I blew my nose. I'm also coughing up nasty tasting yellow stuff (gross, I know). Blowing stuff out of my eye has really freaked me out though, I could feel it coming out of my tear duct.

It's all connected. Sounds like an upper respiratory infection or a sinus infection.

i think that can happen with a sinus infection. it's all connected in there!

Turns out it's pneumonia, dr sent me to the ER.

Oh no, OP! Good for you for being diligent with seeing the doctor.
I'm guessing it was bacterial pneumonia, not viral?

Feel better. FYI, I think it is a safe bet that you also have a sinus infection. The antibiotics you have most likely been given will most likely handle both. Take care of yourself, though, (and maybe next time go to the doctor a bit sooner?)

Also, it takes a long time to get your lung capacity back after pneumonia - be kind to yourself.

First of all when someone says warning its gross I will always read it.

I was about to tell you I had this issue this spring when I came down with walking pneumonia....

It was really bad. I spiked a fever I was super dizzy and couldnt breath. Mine was viral from someones children that I watched one night. I was told they just had allergies... Oh well.

It was painful the green stuff out of your eye is the same stuff you are coughing up...

I hope you feel better. I have a horrible cold from someone elses kiddos so I know how you feel.

what did you do to get better? I've got a gross antibiotic, a pain med for my cough, other than that they sent me home. Boo.
