Travel Discussion
Yesterday we came back from northern Ohio, and traffic was bad on the PA turnpike east starting around exit 110 for Somerset. 70 and parts of 270 were also bad. For Christmas, we'll be heading back from Ohio on Friday, Dec. 31. I think traffic will be better then--does this seem accurate? Also, any suggestions for alternate routes to avoid traffic on these interstates when we do travel back on peak holiday travel days? Thanks!
Our family is in Pittsburgh, so we travel that route often. That day "should" be better for Travel. Usually Sundays are pretty bad in general traveling to DC from 70/270.
I agree w/ PP 14:12. PA turnpike is the quickest way to Ohio. We have most family in NE Ohio so we travel the PA turnpike quite often. If you don't have one, get an EZpass/Smart Tag. Makes the toll booth stops much faster.
I do that route alot too and I would bet Fri. would be fine. Definitely get the ezpass.
