I'd like to take advantage of my library's e-book collection. I don't have an e-reader, so I'd be downloading it to read on my laptop. I'm concerned, though, about memory use. Will it take up a lot of space? What about when the loan period is over-- Is all of that space emptied or does it continue to take up some residue of space? Will it slow down my computer during the loan period? What about multiple books? I have Macbook, if that matters.

An ebook is about 200-500 kb. They should disappear after they expire. They've never slowed my laptop down. |
Unless you have an extremely old computer with no space on it, you shouldn't have a problem. If you're still worried, then use a flash drive. |
