rice paper

Has anyone used rice paper? I'm wondering if it will stay crisp when it's put on something moist or if it will get all chewy and soft. Thanks.

I've used it to make spring rolls (the uncooked kind). I had to immerse it in water for a few seconds to get it soft enough to roll. It stayed soft after being rolled onto vegs, tofu, shrimp). I made it ahead of time & put it in refrigerator with a damp napkin over it to keep it soft. Hth.
