| I remember reading someone put something (maybe another swaddling blanket?) on top of the MB when this started to happen. I have a 17 lb 3 month old and I think he is getting a little long for it, because we are starting to get some gaping above the leg pocket. |
| I admit to using duct tape to keep the bottom from coming loose. There I said it. Duct tape. |

Your baby is probably outgrowing the miracle blanket.
I'd try to find some really large baby blankets and swaddle that way instead. The aden and anais ones might be big enough for this. You might also try seeing if your baby is ready to wean off the swaddle entirely. |
I love it, and...I get it.

| We used the MB w/o the leg pocket for awhile, worked great. |
| Woombie? Not over top, but to replace. |
| swaddle me, comes in different sizes |

I used safety pins!

We did this, too. Top only. Worked great. |

If the baby is too big for the blanket maybe it's time to stop swaddling? At 3 months a baby can sleep unswaddled and according to most doctors should at least have their arms free. If it's a matter of being cold, you can but sleep sacks.
I'm an RN in a pediatrician's office. |
| *buy, not but! Sorry |

We put one of the organic cotton Halo sleep sacks over the MB when DD started breaking out. Then, at 3 months, at the suggestion of a poster on this board we bought a Woombie. I used it for 2 days - totally unimpressed. The following weekend I decided it was time to wean from the swaddle. It was a rough few nights but we made it and haven't looked back.
Now we use fleece sleep sacks with long sleeves from Target. |
| Woombie - duct tape and safety pins are not safe. |
| You have to make the transition some time. This is probably it. If your baby is 3 months old and wants out of it, they need to be out of it or it is like straitjacketing them. |
