Cramping at 38 weeks

[size=18]I'm 38 weeks pregnant and the past day or so I've had cramps pretty constantly. The cramps are low down in the belly and even in the low pelvic area, between my legs. It isn't very painful - it's the same type of pain as bad menstrual cramps.
Is this a sign that labor is coming very shortly? Or could this go on for the next couple weeks? Anyone experience this?[/size] |

| I would say that is early labor. You should call your ob or midwife and get checked! Very exciting! |

| I agree - that is how it felt for me when I was in labor. |

| Definitely call your OB. I felt those cramps probably 5 days before going into labor, but it sounds liek things are beginning. |

| My labor began with this cramping also. It started at 4am on a Tuesday and I delivered 32 hours later. |
