Hello,
If you have hosted a Mad Science party, could you please share your experience (good and bad) in the instructors and the locations? The party will be for 25 kids. Thanks in advance. |
We had a Mad Science party last year for my kindergartener. She loved it, as did her friends. We had it at home and had about 15 kids. The scientist was great (though now I don't recall her name). We are in NoVa, but I believe the Mad Science point of contact for the area covers the whole DC metro area (the number I called was a 301 number.)
Have a fun party! |
We too had a mad science birthday party for a kindergarten boy. The scientist was great and kept a lot of boys mesmorized for the entire hour. Something I was unable to do the rest of the party.
One attendee had such a great time, she had a mad science birthday party herself this year. |
We had one for our first grader at the new community center in Friendship Heights. Our scientist was Jamie, and she was great. |
I can't speak to the parties, but my DD is in a Mad Science after school. She's in K and I am very disappointed onthe program. Not at all age appropriate and the instructor was horrible with children. I was the parent aid in one class and the instructor was trying to explain the cold war to the kids (all K and 1st). This was in the last few weeks. They also rushed through the projects, half the kids had no idea what was going, couldn't get things assembled, etc. Very disappointed. |
