If you could choose any MCPS, which would it be?

...for a 1st grader who needs accommodations for fine motor delays (strong delays) and possible ADD (not hyperactive, just attentional).

Targeting Bethesda, Kensington, Potomac, even considering Darnestown...

I think Cold Spring in Potomac is terrific if you're going the public school route. My ds has a significant fine motor delay and the school has been very accomodating. His teacher is always willing to adapt things to suit him, without lowering her standards. She is very positive and brings out the best in him. The school administration was very supportive when it came to pushing for an IEP to cover OT. The overall environment at the school is very warm and nurturing. As with any school, some teachers are better than others but overall we are VERY HAPPY. I should warn you that it is very difficult to get an IEP to cover OT and, even when you do, it's the luck of the draw when it comes to who they assign. I'm not sure from your post if you already have the IEP in place. If not, prepare for a very long process.
