That's a great question. I'm sure FCV would LIKE to have full GA1 and GA2 teams and AB will make it seem that way. But reality is they are losing most if not all of the current GA1 team, and so it's hard to see where all these players would come from to roster two teams, and what the talent level would look like. 2010 age group is in the same boat.

AB is trying to save face from his horrible transition to his leadership position. FCV lost 3 full North teams worth of u-9 and u-10 girls in February that he desperately tried to fill. Sounds like only one team actually got filled. I'd be more pissed playing with rec players after paying the fees for a travel team than them playing for free. Newly formed rec travel teams don't tend to fare well.

This but it's for every age group so GA teams are screwed for the next few years unfortunately.

Where are current GA players going—what’s the split between VRSC and various ECNL clubs? No one seems to be claiming here that the players moved en massse to VRSC, so seems like a mix.

It’s been posted. The top players from 07, 08, 09, 10, and 11 are moving to VDA, Union, and Bethesda. Between 2 to 4 players per each age group. I don’t think any went Loudoun. Probably about 80% of the rest going to VRSC. Very few staying with FCV. Maybe 2 to 4 per age group, if that.

All of the new FCV GA teams will get clobbered in GA and will be destroyed in Champions Cup. It will be an absolute disaster to the extent that it will either fold or they will be kicked out. Dissolution will occur by the end of Spring Season next year for certain. Adam killed the club. TSJ will fold what's left of their soccer program into one pyramid as programing for the St. James in Springfield.

YNT player is staying with STJ. They can build the club around her.

I tend to agree that FCV GA’s very existence is in jeopardy, but it’s just not fair to say that anyone other than TSJ leadership is responsible for where the club is today. Whatever you think of the people trying to keep it together, they were dealt a losing hand by TSJ.

Do you mean the BP favorites who think they are USYNT players moving to VDA? That won't last very long.

How competitive do you think those teams will be in GA at VRSC after losing the top 2-4 players and the bottom 2-4 players?

It’s not always top 2-4 leaving. More like 2-4 of BP’s favorites. Kids will be missed, but plenty of good players going to Revolution. Those teams should still finished well in GA.

Both FCV and VRSC will be lucky if they make playoffs in any age group next year. There are rumors that Mid-Atlantic could split in two which would help VRSC. I don’t think FCV has any chance.

Think about it this way. All former FCV teams will now be weaker as VRSC teams while Skyline, Armour and others will remain the same. Probably just going to be a tight race between 3 or 4 teams with .500 record is my best guess.

Yes, never assume that BP's favorites automatically mean that they're top players.

What about the players who went to Bethesda and Union? No favoritism at work there presumably.
