Health and Medicine
| I've had a dry cough since Saturday with no other symptoms, and it's keeping me up for hours each night. No congestion or sore throat or signs of a bug, no phlegm except first thing in the morning. Anyone else have/had this? Last night at 2am I had a fit of hypochondria and started worrying it's my thyroid or something. Robitussin doesn't help much. Thanks! |

Try Delsym 12 hour cough control....
You also might have a very slight post nasal drip....also try using saline in your nose a few times a day. |
| It could be allergies |

Humidifer may work if it's a dryness issue. If it's an allergy to dust mites issue (i.e. happens only at night) then take Zyrtec before bed and do a thorough HOT wash of all bed linens and put your pillow in the freezer to kill mites. Also, you can get prescription medication that really takes control - generic is benzonatate - also known as Tessalon -
but that's relatively drastic. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000734 |
