Background Checks/Home Day Care

Anonymous
We're interviewing several home day care providers. How do you go about asking them whether or not everyone living in the household has a clear background check? One place I really liked but there seemed to be quite a few people living in the house. We are only looking at licensed providers so i'm not sure whether this is something that done as part of the licensing requirements.

In my state everyone has to be background checked that lives in the home, even my children as they turn age 16. Find the website pertaining to the licensing agency in your state, either the website will be able to tell you about requirements or have a number to call..............

Fairfax county permit - everyone over the age of 16 unless they have changed the age. Also, I believe they are repeating it every 4 years now, whereas in the past it was done at time of applying for the permit and that was it. I personally believe they should repeat it every 2 years, same as they do the CPR/First Aid training. A lot can happen in 4 years that wouldnt be found otherwise.
