breasts after breastfeeding

When did your breasts shrink? My are still big. Does it take a few months after you stop nursing?

I breastfed for over a year. My boobs went up 2+ sizes while nursing. At about 6 months, they seemed to go down 1 size. After I stopped nursing, they went back to normal after a few weeks.

Your boobs adjust according to demand. Obviously, in the first few months of bfing they'll be big. Like the PP, my boob size went up 2+ sizes too. After about 7 months, when DD transitioned to solids and was only nursing a few times a day (the solids were becoming her main source of nutrition) my boobs were a little smaller.

It will also depend on how elastic your skin. The appearance will also depend on your frame, posture, the shirt you wear, etc.

I stopped BFing at the end of February. I had gone up about two cup sizes and my ribcage seemed to have expanded about two sizes as well (went from a size 34 to a size 38). I've been wearing my pre-pregnancy and pre-nursing bras for probably about a month now. So, I guess it only took my boobs about a month to return to normal (although I am still lactating slightly in one breast). The size of my aereolas (sp) have shrunk as well.
