If I'm looking for a new PCP, should I be looking at Internal Medicine practices? Is this who I see for routine illnesses, flu, etc? How about minor injuries? Like if I sprain my ankle, can I go to an internist for that?
And, hoping against hope, does anyone go to the Internal Medicine practice at Washington Hospital Center? Abbie Miller seems to have a couple good reviews, and good training. |

| From what I understand, you can see either a Family Practice or an Internal Medicine specialist. Internal Medicine specializes in adult care while Family Practices deal with people of all ages and are sort of a one stop shop. It's personal preference. |
