Big Recommendation for Lyon Hall in Clarendon

Anonymous
My husband, 2.5-year-old, and I have eaten twice at Lyon Hall on Sunday nights, and I can't say how much I love the food and the service. We dined on the early side--getting there between 5:00 and 5:30. They have a wonderful kids' menu, asked when they should bring out the child entree, and brought out crayons & coloring sheets to entertain her. The food is wonderful, and the waitstaff are so considerate.
The other reason they are getting a big thumbs up from me is because of our experience there last night. Our child was being pretty well-behaved but seemed a little off. She was content to sit in her chair and drink my ice water but didn't want to eat. Not even bread and butter could tempt her. I should have sensed that something was the matter, but I was so happy to be out and having a good time with my family that the it never occurred to me that two seconds after our appetizers came, my little punkin vomited up milk and whatever else all over my lap and then onto the floor.
The waitstaff were calm, cool, and collected--helping us clean up the mess and calming me down in the process. They thoughtfully offered to wrap up our appetizers. We needed to get out of Dodge quick and asked for the check right away. Lyon Hall only charged us for the child meal, our appetizers, and our drinks. They are a class act, and I highly recommend taking your little ones there for dinner.

Had date night there with my husband about 2 months ago and also really enjoyed it. We were trying to eat fast to get to a movie and they totally accomodated. Love the atmosphere, too! Your story will definitely make me go back with kids in tow...
